Jobsworth is back – this time online!
Following the success of our workshops held in the Autumn, we are delighted to let you know that we will be running an online series of sessions for people with disabilities in Gloucestershire who are interested in improving their communication and presentation skills. One of our previous participants said “I found the workshops really helpful. I didn’t think I would enjoy them and I feel so much more confident about what I’m doing.”
Collaborating under the name Jobsworth, we are a small group who have various experiences which support our aim of improving people's work prospects. We have both a disabled and non-disabled person's perspective across a range of professions, and of being a manager and employee. We use positive communication to help people realise their strengths and improve their self-esteem.
We are offering a series of three online workshops, which will cover such topics as improving confidence, and preparing for the job interview. These will take place on 2 July, 9 July and 16 July 2020, 2.15 - 4.45 pm. We require anyone interested to get in touch and let us know a bit about themselves and the ways we can support them in the sessions. Participants will be asked to show themselves on camera, preferably sitting at a desk, and be in a space of minimal distraction. We would be grateful if you could forward this onto anyone who may be interested. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm attendance or seek more information.
