With tutor Alison Cockcroft

This course takes six familiar natural objects: leaf, flower, feather, stone, fruit and seed as the starting point for sensory and creative exploration encouraging participants to look more closely at the everyday nature that surrounds them. Different techniques such as rubbings, mono -printing, collage, wax-resist and block prints will be combined with drawing and painting to produce sketchbook pages that are visually rich, building up your confidence along the way. The course will help deepen a sense of connection to nature, even whilst staying indoors, by drawing on memories, poetry and nature writing, soundscapes and the work of other artists as inspiration.
