Writing from Nature
Online course with tutor Gemma Bolwell
Wednesdays on Google Classrooms
March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, April 6th
Spring is springing and this is a great time of year to get writing! Using nature as our inspiration, we will have a look at how professional writers have used nature and the seasons to influence their work, such as William Wordsworth’s famous poem about daffodils and the approaches of more modern writers like Ali Smith. You will also be encouraged to head out into nature yourself and to write about what you hear, see, touch, smell and feel. At the end of the course there will be an invitation to submit a piece of writing for a short booklet in which we will celebrate this lively season with our words!
This course is free for participants who are 19+ and face a disabling barrier.
