This course will help you to build upon the writing skills you already possess, in order to sharpen and develop your work. We will focus on writing with accuracy, clarity and intent, learning from professional writers to develop vocabulary, technique and a variety of literary devices. We will practise writing to a brief and learn about the different types of editing we can use to improve our work. This course encourages you to take your writing seriously as you move towards getting your work before an audience, for example by entering competitions or considering different forms of publishing. It is hoped that learners who embark on this course will form a supportive network for each other, and may decide to form an ongoing writing group once the course has finished

As part of the course you will receive a materials pack.
